The state's agricultural boom after the self - reference was sufficient to transform the nation's food shortfall into a surplus. The rice-wheat cropping system has become a significant cropping system as a result of the Green Revolution technology. Our fundamental resources, like as soil and water, have been severely impacted by the adoption of this cycle on a larger scale.

Increased agricultural production in the state had resulted in complex issues with several nutritional deficits and insect issues. The Institute's goal is to assist the field staff of the State Department of Agriculture and related agencies in effectively managing Extension Services through bottom-up, farmer-participatory, and decentralised planning and control systems.
